Barwang Wines
About Us
Barwang Wines is nestled along the South West Slopes of the Great Dividing Range, between Harden and Young, at an altitude of 520 meters. This prime location benefits from reliable rainfall, mild days, and cool nights, fostering the slow, even ripening of fruit.
The region’s high altitude and cool prevailing winds from the Great Dividing Range offset the higher temperatures during summer months, contributing to a unique microclimate. Additionally, the high minerality of the soil further enhances the distinctive character of the wines produced here.
A dry summer and autumn, coupled with cool nights and mild days, extend the ripening period, allowing the grapes to develop rich, complex flavors. These elements combine to make Barwang Wines a standout in the Hilltops wine-producing region, known for its exceptional quality and distinctiveness.
